Students gain confidence in their own writing when they engage in tasks which are playful and the sharing rewarding. Short bursts of writing are all that are needed to build self-belief and create and foster an environment of risk-taking and play with writing. These WRITING WORKSHOP lessons have been refined and proven over 30 years of Secondary English classes. Parents, tutors and teachers are encouraged to attempt the same tasks in real time along with students, followed by sharing and celebrating those pieces which glean the best reactions.
